I recently attended the Game Change Live event presented by Kate and Henare O’Brien.

You know, I’ve never seen anything like it. I have attended tons of self-development workshops and business training seminars, from Tantra, to breath work, to finding your life’s purpose, to creating amazing retreats, etc.

But this one was special.

Mainly because of who Kate and Henare are.

It was a show; a very entertaining and soul moving show, but so authentic.  It was as if Henare acted, but at the same time, he was not acting. His essence moved him in all sorts of entertaining and deeply exposing directions.

I was mesmerised. I couldn’t take my eyes off of the stage. In what other ways would he encourage the-the woman or man standing on the stage to open up? How else would he show his love or push them to take hold of their own leadership and figure it all out for themselves?

I was touched looking at Kate. Seeing her delight and acceptance of Henare and his way of being in her eyes. Silently she was supporting and holding space for him so he could be fully on with us.

I teach about love; this was love in action.

I connected to my own deep desire (everything in my world is deep☺) to be seen, to be accepted and to be recognised.

See me! I’m here! I deserve love and attention because I am, and I am awesome! The essence of me is great and loving and joyful.

Look at me! See me! I’m here and I love being me.

And somehow I want you to see me, and love me, and recognise me. I need to look in the eyes of others and feel that I am seen and that I am felt.

I need people, I need connection, I need love. I’m not here to do it by myself. 

Right there, I experienced looking in the eyes of another and being seen and felt.

Ahhh…
